Have you ever been told you have a hormonal imbalance but never received an explanation for why it happened?
In this episode, we're looking at hormonal imbalance through the lens of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Instead of asking which hormone is too high or too low, Chinese Medicine asks a different question:
Why has the body fallen out of balance in the first place?
You'll discover why hormones are often messengers rather than the root cause, how TCM views the body as an interconnected system, and why two women with the same diagnosis may need completely different treatment plans.
If you've struggled with painful periods, PMS, infertility, PCOS, perimenopause, menopause, weight gain, or other hormone-related symptoms, this episode will help you begin thinking about your health in a completely new way.
In This Episode You'll Learn
🌿 What hormones actually do in the body
🌿 Why Chinese Medicine doesn't diagnose "hormonal imbalance"
🌿 The difference between treating symptoms and finding the root cause
🌿 Why stress, digestion, sleep, nutrition, and inflammation all affect hormone health
🌿 How Chinese Medicine identifies unique patterns instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach
🌿 Why personalized care is one of the greatest strengths of TCM
This Week's Simple Challenge
Instead of asking,
"What's wrong with my hormones?"
Ask yourself,
"What might my body be trying to tell me?"
Take a few minutes to reflect or journal:
✨ When do I feel my best?
✨ When do my symptoms flare up?
✨ Am I chronically stressed?
✨ Am I getting enough restorative sleep?
✨ Am I nourishing my body well?
Next Episode
Next week, we'll begin exploring the most common patterns behind hormone-related symptoms and how Chinese Medicine recognizes them.

Why You're Still Stuck: 3 Natural Shifts for Hormonal Imbalance That Actually Last
Have you ever felt like you're doing "all the right things" but your hormones still aren't improving?
Maybe you start each week with good intentions, but by the weekend you're back to old habits. Maybe you're frustrated because you've been trying to feel better for a few weeks and expected faster results. Or maybe you're simply exhausted from being so hard on yourself every time you have a setback.
The truth is, lasting healing rarely comes from one perfect week or one miracle supplement. More often, it's the small, faithful choices we make consistently over time that begin to change our health.
In today's episode, I share three natural shifts she sees making the biggest difference in women struggling with hormonal imbalance, anxiety, stress, and feeling stuck.
In this episode, you'll learn:
🌿 Why small weekly habits often have a bigger impact than occasional "perfect" days
🌿 Why healing takes longer than we wish and why that's completely normal
🌿 How self-criticism and anxiety can keep you stuck, and how bringing your feelings honestly to God can bring freedom and peace
🌿 A simple challenge to help you begin making lasting changes this week
Scripture:
1. "Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care (anxiety) upon Him, for He cares for you." 1 Peter 5: 7
2. " Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Phillipians 4:6-7
3. "When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I." Psalms 61:2
🌿 This Week's Challenge
Choose one small habit that you've been repeating each week that isn't moving you toward the health you desire.
Instead of trying to change everything, commit to replacing that one habit with one healthier choice over the next seven days.
Then, when discouragement or anxiety creeps in, pause and bring your feelings honestly to God instead of judging yourself.
Remember: progress comes through consistency, not perfection.

In this episode, we explore two kinds of oil that shape our lives: the oils we consume for physical health, and the oil Scripture uses to represent spiritual readiness.
We start with the growing conversation around seed oils, what they are, where they show up in the modern food system, and why many people are paying attention to how they may impact inflammation, digestion, and overall wellness. We also look at simple, practical swaps that support a more whole-food, less processed way of eating without fear or extremes.
Then we shift to a deeper question: while we’re focused on what we are putting into our bodies, are we paying attention to what is filling our spirit?
We walk through the Parable of the Ten Virgins in The Gospel of Matthew 25:1–13, reflecting on what it means to be spiritually prepared, why readiness cannot be borrowed, and how even those who were waiting still needed personal preparation.
In this epiosode I talk about:
What seed oils are and where they show up in modern diets
Why people are questioning their impact on inflammation and health
Simple, realistic oil and food swaps
The Parable of the Ten Virgins and spiritual readiness
What it means to “keep oil in your lamp” in today’s world
A reminder to stay awake, grounded, and spiritually prepared
It matters what we put into our bodies, but it matters even more that we are filled, awake, and ready spiritually.

In this episode, we’re unpacking a common question: Is Chinese Medicine “New Age,” and should Christians be cautious about it?
There is a lot of confusion in the wellness space, where practices like acupuncture, crystals, chakras, and energy healing often get grouped together. Today, I break down what Traditional Chinese Medicine actually is, how it works in a clinical setting, and how it differs from New Age spiritual practices.
I also share my personal journey as a Christian practitioner, what I do not incorporate in my practice, and how I approach healing in a way that stays grounded in faith and aligned with biblical truth.
If you’ve ever felt unsure about holistic care, this episode brings clarity, peace, and practical understanding.
I will break down:
What Chinese Medicine actually is
Why qi refers to function, not spirituality
Where confusion in wellness culture comes from
What I personally do not practice (and why)
How faith and holistic health can work together

Have you ever felt stuck trying to lose weight, like no matter what you do, your body just is not responding?
In this episode of Chinese Medicine for Christians, I share a personal story about a time I pushed my body through an extreme approach to weight loss and why it left me feeling worse, not better.
We talk about why weight loss is often about more than calories or willpower. From a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) perspective, your body may be giving clues through fatigue, bloating, cravings, stress, hormonal imbalances, and digestive issues.
I’m sharing 5 common TCM patterns I often see in women who struggle to lose weight:
🌿 Dampness & Phlegm🌿 Liver Qi Stagnation (stress and emotional overwhelm)🌿 Spleen Qi Deficiency (digestive weakness)🌿 Kidney Yang Deficiency (hormonal depletion)🌿 Blood Sugar & Hormonal Imbalances
We also talk about simple, practical ways to start supporting your body in a healthier, more sustainable way.
Your body is not working against you. It may be trying to tell you something.

I also explain how physical imbalances can affect emotional health, creating cycles that many women experience without realizing it.
